Our Privacy Policy

Bookings

When you make a booking with us, we ask for the name, address, contact number and email address of the person making the booking. We will use the information you provide to create invoice and booking records so that we can process your booking and this information is kept as a record of our business transactions.
Your payment details will be collected by Absafe so we can receive payment. Absafe will pass these details to your bank, purely to process the transaction. When VAT is included, we have to pass relevant details to HM Revenue and Customs, who process our claims, on a quarterly basis.
We’ll sometimes use your contact details to send you service updates; for example if there is a problem or query with a booking or payment.

H2O Heroes App

H2O Heroes, an app developed by Ian Nebbiolo Limited for Absafe, is designed to provide an educational and fun way to learn about water safety.

You privacy and the privacy of your children is of great importance to us, which is why our pp collects no personally identifiable information. Though the app relies on the Google Maps SDK for some functionality, no location data is sent to or retained by either Ian Nebbiolo Limited or Absafe. The app also contains no analytics or telemetry data collecting services, and provides no analytics information aside from that information collected by the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (for example number of installs).

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at hello@absafe.org.uk

When you contact us about volunteering and work placements we ask for your name, contact number and email address that is logged in our records. If you become a volunteer, we check further information including address history, date of birth, and proof of identity to create a PVG record. We will keep copies of the data we collect as evidence that we have seen the proof, and pass your information to Volunteer Scotland for processing. We will keep this data whilst you volunteer with us and up to 10 years afterwards.

Email Correspondence

If you email us, we may keep a copy of the email as a record of our correspondence to help us continue to communicate with you in the future, and as a record of our business.

The Absafe Bulletin is our regular information newsletter providing up-to-date relevant information on safety and security advice we reasonably believe may be of interest to you. If you decide you no longer wish to receive the bulletin, you can remove yourself from this list either through the link at the bottom of each bulletin, or directly through the MailChimp website. Your data will not be kept after you leave the list.

MyDonate will pass these details to your bank, purely to process the donation transaction. When claiming Gift Aid, we have to pass your name and address to HM Revenue and Customs, who authorise these claims, on a monthly basis.
