Absafe has announced new additions to its board of trustees, with Les Linklater, Executive Director of Step Change in Safety, elected as Chairman.

Duncan Peter, Business Development Manager for fellow charity Inspire, joins as Vice Chairman.

Absafe provides interactive safety-led sessions to schools, corporates and the wider community delivered in an engaging and informative style. Absafe is the only charity of its kind in the North east of Scotland promoting and delivering interactive safety education and accident prevention awareness.

Also joining the board is media consultant and freelance journalist Kirstin Gove, and Wayne Henderson, Managing Director of business improvement consultancy Kaizah.

The new recruits join existing board members Stacey Summers, founder of White Wolf Collective and Phil Davie, Vice President - Operations at Aker Solutions.

Emma Bellu, Absafe’s Chief Executive Officer said: “Our new board members bring fresh ideas, counsel and guidance to myself and the talented Absafe team. The board’s combined experience is formidable and is a huge asset to the business.”

Absafe offers lunch and learn sessions, and team building exercises; with further services currently in the development.

Emma continued:  “Absafe is a social enterprise  and is constantly growing, by creating new services and forming new strategic partnerships.  We’ve talked to the corporate community and have been devised products which fit their current requirements, as the market begins to show signs of recovery.

We see 2017 as a key year in our development, and collectively we’re looking forward to a bold and exciting future.”
